BELOVED BRAND GETTING A NEW LOOK AND ADDITIONAL BREW

Summit Brewing Co. Builds On Its Second Most Popular Brand With Updated Packaging
And The Start of a New Brew Series

After a decade of success, Summit Brewing is changing up the iconic Sága brand with a fresh new look. Starting early April, the legacy beer brand will introduce the “Sága Goddess Series” leaning on the classic IPA while introducing a new brew, the Sága Hazy IPA.

The new Sága Hazy IPA is a well-balanced IPA with notes of tropical and citrus fruits delivering a soft bitterness and a smooth finish full of flavor worthy of the gods. Accompanying the brand extension will be a fresh update to the packaging, with a bold emphasis on the Goddess, Sága – and what she means to Summit Brewing.

The Saga Continues – Summit Brewing Co.

“Sága originally got its name because of the journey it took to discover it,” Summit Founder & President Mark Stutrud said. “When we dug a bit deeper, we found that Sága was not only Odin’s drinking buddy, but the Goddess of prophecy and wisdom and was said to have inspired storytellers and poets. It’s only fitting the next chapter of that story focuses on the Goddess and what she stands for. It’s a great opportunity for us to build on something the community has embraced for the last decade and encourage them to keep creating and sharing stories.”

“The Sága IPA we know, and love isn’t going anywhere,” says Director of Sales Brandon Bland. “It’s a staple for us and something the community has embraced for the last 10 plus years. Developing the Goddess Series gives us a chance to explore ways to expand on one of our top brands and favorite beers. We believe the Sága Goddess Series allows us to discover new ways to engage with our partners and ultimately our consumers.”

Signature Peach, Strawberry Peach, Kiwi Peach and Mango Peach will be available nationwide in a 12-pack variety pack, joining Simply Spiked Lemonade on shelves. Signature Peach also will be sold in 24-ounce singles, joining 24-ounce singles of it three lemonade flavors that launched last month.

“People have been asking for this flavor since Simply Spiked Lemonade dropped last summer. We can’t wait for our fans to get a taste of Simply Spiked Peach,” says Ashley Austin, associate marketing manager for Simply Spiked Peach.

As the brand gears up for the launch, Simply Spiked Peach has enlisted actor and comedian Ron Funches to star in ads that begin appearing online this week. In the spot, dubbed “Juicy Calls,” Funches is dressed in satin pajamas, lounging on a bed and holding a can of Simply Spiked Lemonade.

“New Simply Spiked Peach has somehow made peaches even more adult,” he says, hinting at the risque double entendre associated with the peach emoji.

To participate, legal-age drinkers in select ZIP codes in New York City, Miami and Washington, D.C., can text a peach emoji to 73255 to enter. Consumers in the rest of the country can text for a chance to win a gift card to buy Simply Spiked Peach when it hits shelves. (See rules and restrictions online.)

Oh yeah, fella.

What’s this fella look like? Odd Fella is a wildberry sour that pours a light, dusty pink. It has delightful notes of sweet berries that permeate the aroma. Dark fruit flavors balance the tang of wild berries and create a pleasantly light-bodied and slightly drying finish. This one is sure to be a fountain of conversation.

It’s real good, then!
