Was your fantasy football team lackluster this year??

Well, now’s the time to impress your friends with some amazing Beer & Food Pairings for today’s big game.

The three most common pairing interactions are complement, contrast or cut. Take a look at what goes into each dish before deciding what interaction will best compliment your food and beer. For example spicy food; IPA will make the food even spicier complementing the food, Vienna Lager will contrast the spiciness with the sweetness of its malt, and Blonde Ale will cut the flavors refreshing your palate from the spiciness.

These are just a few examples of how you can pair one spicy dish with three different beer styles. Below I will give you a few more examples of beers that can pair with some of your big game food. To learn more on this topic check out http://www.craftbeer.com/category/beer-and-food and watch the video below.

HOPSLAM ALE

Starting with six different hop varietals added to the brew kettle & culminating with a massive dry-hop addition of Simcoe hops, Bell’s Hopslam Ale possesses the most complex hopping schedule in the Bell’s repertoire.

Selected specifically because of their aromatic qualities, these Pacific Northwest varieties contribute a pungent blend of grapefruit, stone fruit and floral notes. A generous malt bill and a solid dollop of honey provide just enough body to keep the balance in check, resulting in a remarkably drinkable rendition of the Double India Pale Ale style.

Hopslam is best enjoyed as fresh as possible.

Alcohol By Volume: 10.00%

HOPSLAM Q&A: CELLARING, HONEY, CANS AND MORE

Hopslam is one of our most sought after beers. It is also one of our beers that generate a lot of questions.

And since you asked, we’ve got answers.

But first, what exactly is Hopslam? Director of Operations, John Mallett, tackles that and more. He also has one of the most unique descriptions for Hopslam, one you won’t find on any label or packaging.

California Cider Company is the first family owned cider in the US. We have been making ACE ciders since 1993 in the beautiful Sebastopol area of Sonoma County California just north of San Francisco. We are located among some of the world’s most renowned wine makers and apple orchards.

Ace founder Jeffrey House created Ace Space in honor of his wife, Angela, who appeared in the cantina scene in the original Star Wars.

It’s time to try something new and exciting. Cider is lower calorie and gluten free in comparison to other alcoholic beverages. Ace ciders are a refreshing alternative to beer and wine. No sugar is added to our beverages, the only sugar occurs naturally from fresh fruit, making our ciders crisp in taste and flavor. Our award winning ACE ciders are pure, clean and refreshing because we use only the best eating apples for our juice and the best ingredients we can buy. We use champagne yeast in all of our cider and ferment them 10 -14 days. We then cold – filter 4 times and add the perfect amount of spritz to quench your thirst.

We guarantee you will notice the care and quality we take to produce every bottle. That’s what makes us ACES!

What a wonderful time to be involved in the beer industry, whether you’re a retailer, wholesaler or supplier. In the United States Craft Beer breweries have hit a record high, eclipsing over seven thousand breweries. Craft Beer is still on the rise and I believe it will have a prominent presence going into the foreseeable future.

In 2018, we saw several of our breweries win awards, locally, nationally and internationally.  We’ve seen label changes, brand extensions, mergers and acquisitions.  Every day is different in the beer industry, but it is certainly fun even on the bad days.

We had the pleasure to visit a few of our brewery partners in 2018. Nothing compares to the sights, smells and sounds of a visiting brewery in person. Learning about the culture of the brewery, their roots and values. We even discovered a whole new group of NDSU Bison fan’s 800 miles from Fargo!

Bergseth Bros. is proud to have distributed beer in our region since our start in 1946. Please choose us for your needs this season and next year. We toast our customers, suppliers, and the American system of alcohol distribution. We thank you for your business and hope to share success in 2019.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
